PRO ONE: A POWERHOUSE TOO!

BASIC CTE and Disguised Pivoting are full stance powerhouses.

So, what about PRO ONE? Is PRO ONE relegated to a mere standing version of CTE? Not at all.

If you’re a CTE workhorse, meaning that you’ve worked to become proficient in all of the CTE PRO ONE approaches, then your vision is likely fined tuned enough to read the gearings of CTE from any head position during full stance.

Jose Parica told Steven Moore at Derby City one year that a dead center, middle-face alignment is the very best place to put your cue when down.

PRO ONE mid-face alignments can be great for reading the geared lines of CTE.

The high value of this is the cut bias is eliminated leading to uncanny alignment consistency. The constant sweeping to mid-face should not be undervalued. It’s likely that Jose had lots of supporting information as to why he was so keen on centered alignments.

When I use PRO ONE mid-face alignments, I feel as strong with this approach as I do with any other CTE PRO ONE method. That’s saying a lot.

I had to work like a mad man to balance my vision, and while doing so I learned to read the four major CTE gearings from any head position.

PRO ONE will always be very special to me. I was the first pool player/instructor/educator to recognize that professional pool players were visually and physically sweeping into their shot lines. I gave birth to PRO ONE in about 2006/2007.

PRO ONE is my baby. I’m thrilled to have fathered it for nearly two decades.
